As of January 25th, 2024, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have identified over 47 illnesses across 22 states in a Salmonella outbreak that has been linked to at least two brands sold by the retailers Sam’s Club and Costco. 10 of these illnesses have resulted in hospitalizations. In their ongoing investigation, the CDC identified charcuterie products from Busseto and Fratelli Beretta as potentially contaminated foods.

Once infected, an individual typically exhibits signs of Salmonella infection (salmonellosis) anywhere between six hours and six days later. Some people, however, may not develop symptoms for several weeks after infection; others experience their symptoms for multiple weeks.
