Paul File is the managing attorney for Garces, Grabler & LeBrocq’s Hudson County Office. Mr. File specializes in all aspects of personal injury law including automobile accidents, fall-downs, pedestrian accidents, product liability and medical malpractice cases. He is passionate about leveling the playing field with Defendants and improving how clients are treated. Mr. File constantly questions the way things have always been done to strive for a better way of practicing law, which makes him the ideal advocate for his clients.
Mr. File earned his Juris Doctorate degree at Syracuse University College of Law after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Connecticut. While attending law school, Mr. File was lead chair in Syracuse University’s Moot Court & Trial Team, served as Vice Justice for Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity and was an elected member of the University’s Judicial Board.
After earning his degrees, Mr. File continued his classroom success in the courtroom where he amassed considerable litigation experience. Upon graduating Mr. File went on to work for Vlasac & Shmaruk, LLC, a small-sized but high-paced law firm located in Metuchen, NJ. While there he was responsible for an exceptional caseload that focused on personal injury, medical malpractice, municipal work and workers compensation litigation. Further, Mr. File was elected the litigation attorney for the Borough of Sayreville in New Jersey and was asked to defend the township against numerous suits. After several successful years, Mr. File took his talents to Ehrlich, Petriello, Gudin & Plaza, P.C. in Newark, NJ. There, Mr. File built on his litigation experience by focusing on a wide range of general civil cases with a focal on real estate issues, landlord-tenant law, contract disputes, personal injury and workers compensation law. It was while working in Newark that Mr. File decided to open his own law firm, where he could maximize his talents in a quest to best serve his clients. For over four years Mr. File was a successful partner in Kravis, File & Wurgaft, P.C. After those four years, Mr. File was brought over to Garces, Grabler & LeBrocq, P.C. to manage their Hudson County office. His considerable time as partner in the past help him learn the skills he needed to successfully manage an office with the size and stature of Garces, Grabler & LeBrocq, P.C.
While in law school, Mr. File was a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Paul W. Armstrong, J.S.C. and for the Honorable Michael Kaplan of the United States Bankruptcy Circuit. Lastly, Mr. File worked as a summer associate for the firm Meggesto, Crossett & Valerino, LLP.
Currently, Paul File is a proud member of the Bar of the State of New Jersey, New York, as well as the District of Columbia. He lives in Hoboken, New Jersey and spends his time with his Siberian Husky named Zo. In the winter he is an avid snowboarder and considers himself a diehard Yankees, Knicks, Giants and UConn fan.
