Car Accidents in New Jersey
In New Jersey, tens of thousands of people are left with injuries as a result of automobile accidents that take place every year. The majority of accidents are a result of negligent drivers. The leading cause of vehicle accidents reported in New Jersey is distracted driving.
Between 2012 and 2016, nearly 800,000 crashes were reported in our state due to drivers being distracted while behind the wheel. This can include anything from changing the radio, using a cell phone, or even eating while operating a vehicle. In addition to distractions, we see many accidents take place as a result of drivers who are speeding, impaired by drugs or alcohol, or engaging in other reckless actions.
The unfortunate truth is that many accidents take place due to conditions that are completely preventable. Innocent people are killed or injured daily as a result of drivers who choose to operate their vehicles negligently.
