Car Accidents in New Jersey

Every year, tens of thousands of car crashes take place in New Jersey. Many of these accidents take place as a result of negligence. Motorists who fail to operate their vehicles with consideration for other drivers sharing the road continue to be a leading cause of serious crashes every day in our state.

Many people harmed in these automobile collisions suffer injuries that can be life-changing. This can include:

  • Amputation Injuries: Many people hurt in pedestrian accidents incur bone fractures that are so severe that they lead to amputations. It is common for pedestrians to lose hands, feet, arms, and legs in crashes.
  • Soft Tissue Injuries: Neck and soft tissue injuries are very common among pedestrian crash victims. Suffering injuries to the neck can be extremely debilitating and require long-term care.
  • Spinal Cord Injuries: Spinal cord injuries are catastrophic in nature. They require extensive care and rehabilitation. Many spinal cord injury sufferers are left paralyzed to some extent. Pedestrians are incredibly vulnerable to these severe injuries.
  • Traumatic Brain Injuries: Victims of pedestrian crashes often suffer TBIs in crashes. The force of the impact of collisions can cause pedestrians to be lifted up and ejected. They are often thrown into other objects and hard surfaces, causing severe injuries to the head.
