Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in New Jersey
Fatal pedestrian crashes take the lives of thousands of people every year. Unfortunately, we see countless people here in New Jersey lose loved ones as a result of these fatal accidents. In the majority of cases, fatal pedestrian accidents take place between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. There are several reasons why accidents are more likely to take place in dark conditions.
During the evening hours and early morning, visibility is significantly increased. When it is dark outside, it is more difficult for drivers to see pedestrians traveling nearby. This is especially true if pedestrians are wearing dark clothing.
In addition, drivers who are traveling at nighttime are more likely to be impaired. This can be dangerous for other pedestrians and drivers alike. Drivers who travel at nighttime are also more likely to be tired. This can increase the chances of them falling asleep while behind the wheel.
No matter the cause, a fatal pedestrian accident can be incredibly devastating. If your loved one has died as a result of the fatal pedestrian crash, your family may have legal options that you can take to seek financial compensation to help you move forward. An attorney will be able to help your family recover compensation for funeral expenses, burial costs, and more.
