Riverdale, NJ – Ten Injured in Bus Crash on Route 287

Riverdale, NJ (August 16, 2023) – A major crash took place in the Riverdale area that left ten people injured.

At around 3:00 a.m. on August 15, emergency crews were dispatched to the site of a crash that occurred on Route 287.

According to reports, a Ford Transit van was traveling north on the roadway. As the vehicle attempted to take the Exit 53 ramp, it became involved in a collision. The vehicle struck a curb and went over a grassy median. The bus then went airborne over a guardrail before crashing into several trees.

A 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old were severely injured in the crash. Eight other victims suffered undisclosed injuries. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to render aid to the victims. Those in need of further medical care were transported to area hospitals.

The New Jersey State Police are currently investigating the crash.
