Michele Labrada is a seasoned trial attorney who joined the Criminal Department of Garces and Grabler, P.C. in June 2009. Bringing a myriad of experience, her work encompasses the representation of individuals charged with serious criminal offenses. From arraignment, to pre-trial motions, to trial advocacy, the focus of her efforts entails the preservation of constitutional rights of the accused.
Ms. Labrada has dedicated the last nineteen (19) years of her legal career in State government representing adults and juveniles as a criminal defense advocate. She has routinely garnered excellent results for her clients through motion and post-conviction relief applications, as well as effectuated approximately two hundred (200) jury trials to her credit.
Prior to embarking on her legal career, Michele Labrada taught grade school, college level courses, and adult evening classes. Having obtained certifications in English as a Second Language, Bilingual Education, elementary education, her students consisted of both adults and children.
Equally resonating is Michele Labrada’s experience in community service. Having served on numerous non-profit boards, Guttenberg Planning and Zoning Board, Ethics Committee, Fee Arbitration Committee, Galaxy Towers Video Committee, court vicinage committees, Ms. Labrada created prevention programs for juveniles, and mentorship programs. She also conducted law student mentorship conferences, women’s conferences, community legal education conferences throughout the State of New Jersey.
Presently, Ms. Labrada is a Trustee of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, and President of the Hispanic Bar Foundation.
