"Click It or Ticket" Initiative Showing Favorable Results

An observational survey conducted by the New Jersey Institute of Technology immediately following the Stateís recent "Click It or Ticket" seat belt mobilization determined the new rate -- an increase of nearly one percent over last yearís usage rate of 91.75 percent.

"Cops in Crosswalks" Initiative in Southern New Jersey Communities

NEW JERSEY--"Cops in Crosswalks," a month-long public awareness and education initiative designed to educate New Jersey motorists about safely sharing the road with pedestrians, will be run by 17 police agencies in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, and Gloucester Counties, August 17 through September 13, 2009.

Division on Civil Rights Finds Probable Cause in Case of Restaurant that Balked at Seating Patron with Service Dog.

TRENTON -- The Division on Civil Rights announced today it has issued a Finding of Probable Cause against an Essex County restaurant over the way it treated a visually-impaired man who sought to eat at a table in the main dining area while accompanied by his family and a certified guide dog.
