National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)

An independent federal agency created to enforce the National Labor Relations Act which guarantees the right of private employees to organize and to bargain collectively with their employers, and to engage in other protected concerted activity with or without a union, or to refrain from all such activity. This right does not apply to public employees.

Neglect

Absence of care or attention.

Negligence

Conduct that falls short of what a reasonable person would do to protect another individual from foreseeable risks of harm.
